Dissolving Dreams
2023. Watercolor on Paper, 10" x 16"
Shared by all people, I think at some point in our lives everyone has experienced loss or a disillusionment between reality and their dreams.
Faces and hands press tenderly against the glass windows on a subway, half distorted and half hidden. Parts of our aspirations remain elusive, just out of reach. The blurred, foggy glass becomes a veil of perception, portraying the difficulty of seeing oneself clearly amidst layers of failed experience and unfulfilled expectation, our identities slipping through our fingers.
